Tropical Green Smoothie Recipe

Many of us are in a hurry in the mornings leaving no time for breakfast. Try this tropical green smoothie that is great for a grab and go breakfast. The smoothie is packed with vitamins, minerals, iron and calcium. One of the ingredients is flax seed, which is an excellent source of antioxidants, omega-3 fatty acids, fiber and protein.


• 1 tablespoon flax seeds
• 1 cup coconut water
• 1 teaspoon honey
• 1 orange
• ¾ cup frozen mango chunks
• ½ banana
• 2 cups, about 1-ounce handfuls spinach
• Ice (until you get the consistency you like)


1. Add coconut water, spinach and honey in the blender until blended.
2. Place the rest of the fruit in the blender and blend until smooth.
3. Add ice until desired smoothie consistency.
